This Sand and Gravel Works was located between the Meramec River and Old Highway 66, East of Pacific. It mined both silica sand and river sand and gravel in different phases of its operation.

Mule carts were used to convey the gravel up to the plant. Rock was placed in the carts that went up a ramp into a huge crusher. The crushed rocks then went into a set of rollers, then onto a drying system inside the plant.
When the operation was completed, the product was loaded into rail cars and shipped where needed.
